My family celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday (regular Mother's Day). I received my first Mother's Day flowers! Aren't they beautiful?!
I went with Andrew to his parents' house for a bit and then we headed out to my Grandma's in Lake Forest. We were the first ones to arrive, so we started a game of Scrabble (my grandma would have annihilated us if my mom and brothers hadn't shown up when they did) and then we all started preparing the food. Andrew and my dad (Andrew mostly) barbecued some carne asada and chicken for tacos. Everything was DELICIOUS!!
After we were done eating, we hung out a bit and enjoyed the company. It was fun, and we left around 7:30 to meet up with our friend Tony at The District for drinks (I was designated driver) since he was visiting from Arizona.
It was a good day. I can't wait to celebrate Mother's Day for real :)
